Dr. Orr has served as the Senior Pastor at Brown since 1989. Under his leadership, the church has experienced tremendous growth, both spiritually and numerically. Despite a large church setting, Pastor Orr works diligently to ensure that Brown maintains a “family-like” atmosphere.

Dr. Orr serves on the boards of the Baptist Memorial Hospital and the Memphis Police Department Community Advisory Board. He also leads Mid-South Genesis, an organization committed to improving the community through building stronger families and economic development.

Dr. Orr received his Doctorate in Ministry from Union University and has had the opportunity to share the gospel with diverse audiences around the world. He is married to Valerie, his best friend of more than 30 years, and they have 4 sons and 5 grandchildren.
