Ready to get started? These are the steps to become a One by One mentor:

Complete your application (including background check and agreement to our statement of faith).

Attend training in person or online. You will receive everything you need to mentor your mom, including lesson plans, activities, and access to resource lists at training.

After One by One matches you to your mom, contact her to set up your first meeting.

Talk or text with her weekly and meet with her monthly throughout her pregnancy and until her child turns one. Help her complete here “Hello, Little One” book as you meet.

Talk or meet with your prayer partner each month - especially if you have specific prayer requests for you or your mom.

Visit the volunteer area of our website for life skills and resource information your mom may need.

Attend optional Mentor Refresh sessions to review topics or ask questions.

Contact your church coordinator or One by One staff at any point if you have questions or want to speak to someone about your match.

Important! One by One mentors can NOT provide transportation, money, or babysitting to their moms.
