2022 Claim the Future Recap
Almost 500 people joined us on a beautiful evening in Memphis to Let Love Lead as we celebrated our annual Claim the Future Benefit.
The Mighty Men of Brown kicked off our evening with an amazing musical performance before we had the opportunity to recognize several of our moms who were in attendance. Dr. Bartholomew Orr of Brown Missionary Baptist Church in Southaven, MS, spoke to the relationships we all need to help us teach and guide our children as they grow. Dr. Orr mentioned how moms have visions of their children as adults: happy, healthy, successful, saved. But, as he put it, "assembly is required" for our children to develop into that "finished product." He reminded us that as parents we all need encouragement, equipment, and examples. Encouragement helps to fuel the desire to do best by your baby and to guide them in the right way even in the most challenging times. Equipment refers to our parental instruction manual - the Bible. The Bible should instruct and inspire us and remind us of God's grace when we fail. Example refers to the importance of role models who remind us that our future can be bright regardless of our past or our circumstances. And Dr. Orr reminded us that each of us can pour into another's life: we all have gifts that can encourage, equip, or serve as an example for others if we let love lead as we strive to claim the future for today's babies. Our thanks to Dr. Orr and the Mighty Men of Brown for a wonderful event!
The record number of attendees led to a record amount of donations - our deepest thanks to all of you who contributed to our event! Because of you, we will be able to encourage, equip, and be examples to more moms looking for help so that they know that with God's help they can claim a new future for them and their children.

Special thanks to the many volunteers who helped with our event - we couldn't have done it without you!
